Crossroads Season Two
The first edition of Crossroads watches were a roaring success. We are now building on this lineup to bring new colors into the mix. Each color represents something about Texas that we love.
Texas Peach
Peaches made their way to Texas in the late 1840s courtesy of German settlers. Those early farmers found the Hill Country's climate, altitude, and calcium-rich soil well suited for the fruit trees. Texas peaches were little more than a local treasure, though, until they were popularized on the national stage by a man named Gilbert Onderdonk, a New Yorker who had moved to Texas on doctor's orders to improve his fragile health. He set up a nursery near Victoria and the Gulf of Mexico and became a respected horticulturist. Onderdonk developed numerous varieties of peaches adapted to the Texas climate. He even showed them off at the state's horticultural exhibit at the world's fair of 1904 in St. Louis and won the grand prize. Ever since, Peaches have been a staple of every Texan’s diet.
Batch 1 has now sold out. The current preorder is now for batch 2, which will be delivered in late summer 2024.
Specifications
-
The Crossroads case is made with 316L stainless steel that has been treated with a hardening coating to keep it free from scratches for years to come. This also helps tremendously with fingerprints on the polished surfaces.
The front crystal is a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The exhibition caseback also uses sapphire crystal.
Both the hands and the hour markers on the dial (the numerals and the dashes) use Swiss Super LumiNova lume.
The straps are made with Italian leather.
-
The Crossroads watch uses the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, featuring a custom red rotor. The movement has a 48 hour power reserve and is regulated in house to within +/- 10 seconds per day.
-
The numerical size of square watches is always a little hard to define because they naturally wear a little differently than round watches. The Crossroads case is 36x38mm, with a lug to lug length of 46mm. This is fairly comparable to wearing a 40mm round watch. The height is 11mm at its tallest point.
The Crossroads has a water resistance of 5 ATM. -
Every Trafford watch includes a 2-year limited warranty. This will cover any manufacturing defects like issues with the movement, or the hands fall off, etc. It doesn’t cover cosmetic wear or internal damage caused by droppage or other accidents. We’re pretty relaxed about this stuff though, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
